About Lawrence Stroud
The acupuncturist at Stroud Acupuncture is Lawrence Stroud. He spent 4 years studying at CICM (The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine at Reading) and at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, gaining a BSc(Hons) in Acupuncture.
His training and on-going professional development include:-
• Western Medicine, including anatomy, physiology.
• Adherence to codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct and compliance with current health and safety legislation.
• Full professional indemnity, medical malpractice and public liability insurance cover.
• Up-to-date practice skills maintained through continuing professional development in Japanese acupuncture.
Lawrence now uses 'Kiiko Matsumoto Style' Japanese acupuncture, which he finds very effective and which uses thinner wire needles with much less needling pain than normal Chinese or medical acupuncture, allowing the patient to relax and enjoy the treatment.
Lawrence is also a 'Dru' yoga teacher, keen walker, cyclist and sings tenor in the local choral society.
